January 8, 2019 - Always good. Nice nose, fruit, tannins with a longish finish.
October 9, 2018 - Lovely. Not much nose. Just right on the tannins and fruit. Nice medium finish.
July 5, 2018 - Wow, this was seriously good. May be even better in 2-4 yrs. Elegant, and low alcohol, yet at the same time complex and interesting. Black cherry, spices, brambly notes, tobacco leaf, dried forest floor. Excellent acidity and some tannins suggest further cellaring potential. One of the better zins I have had in a while.
April 21, 2018 - Historic Vineyard Society Tasting, nose of black cherry, briar, allspice, and black currants, more of the same on the palate, big body, tasty, slightly brooding, needs four years to peak, and a long, long finish.

December 25, 2016 - Brimming high pitched fruit notes on the nose and a vibrant acidity and fresh fruit on the palate. Some herbal notes in the background. There is also a silky tannic structure. Surprisingly slim Zinfandel.

September 10, 2016 - Medium weight, dry, some baking spice but not sweet. Good energy. Some cinnamon, bright cherry, bit of smoke. Really good.
