November 19, 2019 - This bottle of Aglianico may have been slightly past its peak, but still quite good. A restrained (by California standards), medium-dry red, with moderate tannins present. It was a good match for our pasta dinner. It is now officially past its CT drinking window - I'd give a bit more time yet, but it's time to open any bottles you might have left.

March 7, 2014 - Perhaps an odd bird, but still providing a lot of pleasure. The 2009 Seghesio Aglianico delivers incredible red fruits, structure, red currant and the sweet tones from ballpoint pen ink. The palate is massive with rather vocal tannins with adds nicely to the super long length on the finish. A very nice wine, well worth tasting if given the chance. (score is 91+)
