April 19, 2019 - Opened this at a party with both serious wine drinkers and others who rarely drink good wine. Lots of reactions, from those who loved it to those who felt that the sugar was rotting out their teeth. I found the nose nearly imperceptible. And while the first taste was good, I found each sip less and less interesting, more and more sweet and cola-like. The family relation to Meiomi was impossible to miss. This just wasn't in my wheelhouse.

April 7, 2019 - Dark, luscious. Smooth tannins, great fruit. Was worth waiting for.

April 6, 2019 - Have been saving this wine for the right time and when the time came, nothing. Very disappointed in this wine. To start, the cork had started to seep through even though the wine had been kept properly. The overall taste was from what I'd expect from a $30 bottle, not that of a Caymus. If you have it, drink it. Dont hold it any longer, it's not going to get any better which isn't much as it is now.

April 4, 2019 - dark black-purple - no signs of oxidation - hug nose of over-ripe jammy fruit (blackberries, black cherries, plumbs) with surprisingly little oak/vanilla - same jammy fruit in the mouth with full body but relatively short finish - as per previous notes, I'm not sure about this wine re future development, but given the high degree of fruit extract, I'd be willing to give it another 5 years before re-trying

April 3, 2019 - Back on the good side after a couple less stellar experiences. Still huge, but less cough syrup-like. Good flavor and balance, but still lacks any complexity or secondary flavors. My only gripe.
