August 19, 2019 - Not much to add. You either like the over the top fruit or don’t. Given the consistency of flavor from year to year, is suspect they use spinning cone technology; but either way I like it.

August 2, 2019 - I really liked this wine.. but... you have to know what you're getting. This is an exceptionally fruity, oaky, slightly sweet wine. The nose is like smelling a bowl of puréed cherries. In hindsight, I wish I'd had it with a monstrous grilled rib-eye steak, baked potato, roasted carrots, and a big slice of cherry pie for dessert (with ice cream, of course). As fun as this wine is, it has the subtlety of a thrown brick. Tons and tons of fruit, modest tannins, and some sweetness. The downside is the lack of any real balancing acidity.

July 27, 2019 - Pop and pour. No idea why people are paying crazy prices for this on the aftermarket but it's a fine $75 bottle of Napa Cabernet. Rich, velvety grape puree on the palate coats every part of the tongue and mouth. Nothing subtle about this, or even their high-end Special Selection, but the taste is delicious.

July 18, 2019 - I shared this with my wine group at a NYC pizza place. It was a big hit, and may have been the wine of the night. I liked it, and it didn't show the cotton candy notes that I have seen on other vintages of Caymus' Cabernets.

July 17, 2019 - I fall in the category of finding the wine delightful. Decanted for about 2 hours before drinking. Very smooth rounded tannins, great fruit balance, nice lingering taste although a little short. Agree with drinking dates.
