March 24, 2024 - Nick's "Good Barolo and Barbaresco" Dinner - Friday 22 March, 67 Pall Mall; 3/24/2024-3/25/2024 (67 Pall Mall): 2 of 6. Very pretty on the nose, with an interesting truffle aroma alongside the fruit. Elegant, sweet fruits on the palate, licorice, lots of fine tannins, still young. This is now showing much more development than the first bottle a few years ago. Will probably leave another few years for the next one. I was worried about this given some of the notes on CT below, but this surprised on the upside in comparison for me.

March 22, 2024 - Good Barolo and Barbaresco (67 Pall Mall): Clean and mineral on the nose, with a sense of elegance and just a touch of game. Buttoned up on the palate to my taste, with some restrained blue fruit - not as dark-toned as some 2010s. A really nice wine that's only at the start of its window. Group #3 tonight.

March 22, 2024 - Nick A's "Good Barolo and Barbaresco" at 67 PM (67 Pall Mall, London): Nutty edge to the nose. Camphor and stewed plums. Some nail polish and kirsch notes. Palate peppery and long with hints of sweet shop cherry cola sour.

March 22, 2024 - Nick’s Barolo and Barbaresco (67 Pall Mall, London): Aromatic, florals, truffle, touch of orange rind. Medium bodied, quite ethereal, red cherries and strawberries, mushroom and soil,soft tannins, fresh acids, long and harmonious. Lovely, drinking beautifully for me.
