July 10, 2019 - Drank at wine club dinner. Rated it one of the best Howell Mountain cabs from 2011 at the dinner.

February 17, 2019 - Drinking beautifully with a one hour decant.

February 8, 2019 - Dark ruby/purple fruit - blackberry, currants, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth/concentration - medium plus body. Rich/somewhat sweet flavors of dark berries, some spice, oak, and a little mineral component. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep. Decanted for one hour and drank over a couple more. Not much improvement with time but appears to be a good drinking point. A nice wine but I guess I expected more in light of the 95 rating from WA. In my opinion, more so in line with the 92 rating from Galloni. 90% cab, 8% merlot, and 2% petit verdot.

    February 4, 2019 - Last bottle, 3 years later.

Decanted 2 hours. Already showing secondary aromas! Has some heady dark-fruited nose. Definitely earthy. Acids present but perfectly balanced with the somewhat sweet fruit. Still showing some oak, however. Not yet peaked for me but maybe 3 more years and it's ready.

October 12, 2018 - Brilliant, indigo color. Clarity is high. Nose reminiscent of cough syrup. Dark fruit on the palate...blackberry, boysenberry. Some green olive also with the expected pepper and clove notes I associate with Howell Mountain fruit. Great structure still, with ample tannins. Long lingering finish. Ample life left in this.
