November 13, 2021 - Great wine, very young. 10 hr decant and still improving in the glass. Tons of cherry at PnP till hour 2. Now 10 hrs in, its still some cherry with stewed strawberry (in a good sense), and a hint of licorice. Thanksfully I have one more, Ill keep it for awhile...

October 26, 2021 - "Baby Masseto" and a Night of Nebbiolo through the Decades (Charlotte, NC): Decanted 8 hours in advance before back in the bottle. Re-decanted after sampling at dinner where the wine continued to show meaningful evolution over the subsequent hours. This was the most difficult note as it was basically two different wines. Needed every minute of air to start flexing its muscle. First tasting was a quality but concentrated wine -- red cherries, somewhat tight and linear, quite primary. Following a couple more hours of air, greater complexity showed balsamic, spices, and tar. Acidity settled and a plushness came over the wine resolving into a medium-length savory finish. Another fantastic wine on a night of one amazing wine after another.

June 27, 2021 - Mag Dinner 2021 (Il Giallo, Sandy Springs, GA): From magnum; pretty crimson to rim; beautiful nose, all style and grace but a touch more heft from this solar vintage, candied rose petals, fresh juicy cherries and strawberry, fleshy and lifted on the palate with refined tannins, still very primary but great to enjoy more when there is a mag of it.

March 5, 2021 - Ruby color, beautiful nose of asphalt and flowers. Subtle on the palate with a lingering finish. Some residual tannins provide structure. I suspect it has a few years left with proper cellaring but certainly ready to drink now.
