June 25, 2016 - Drank this in a mini-vertical with the 2011. The '12 shared a lot of the same flavors I got from the '11, roasted bell pepper, mushrooms, lavender, black cherry, cranberries... However the fruit was much more forward facing, I really tasted the fruit immediately before the earthy tones took over for a nice finish. I personally preferred the '11 slightly more, but I score them both the same. Renegade continues to kill it at these price points.

October 22, 2015 - When this wine first hits your palette, you think it's going to be a fruit bomb (primarily red fruit) however then you get this surprising, wonderful earthy, mushroom quality on the finish. This is a crowd pleaser type of wine and I will certainly get some more if I can find it.

August 21, 2014 - This seems better than my last bottle. Still a little awkward, but delivers some more interesting savory characteristics. Good value.

July 30, 2014 - Great value. Served slightly chilled. Started with strawberry and kirsch and as it warmed/opened up showed more savory flavors of bacon, smoke and earth.

June 8, 2014 - Simple and smooth fruit with a bit of funk from "The Rocks". Hit the spot on a hot evening and went well with a cedar plank medium rare salmon. Great over two days.

June 4, 2014 - A bit of a disappointment after the last vintage. This does not have the same interesting funk on the nose. Instead, it is primarily simple ripe red fruit. Not bad, but not the same great value as the last one.

April 12, 2014 - Lots of oak, fruit forward, somewhat flat. One-dimensional.
