March 6, 2021 - In a great state. Fruit well come together. Medium tannins. Apparent side of dark herbs, tobacco, cocoa, earth.

April 23, 2020 - I tend to stay away from SA reds - too much green pepper influence - but Rubicon has me hooked (thanks Geri at VIVAT BACCHUS, London) - and this is great. Not elegant but still classy. Full flavoured and very South African, but complex, great acidity and long.

November 16, 2019 - I bought this in SA when I visited a few years ago. This was probably one of my favorite reds. Very open, lots of plum and just a hint of the Pinotage taste that I get in a lot of SA reds (I know there is none in the mix) - that slight rubber taste. It wasn't enough to spoil this. This is getting to the end of its drinking window, but it is still hanging in there.
