July 14, 2023 - Definitely done, but in a weird and still drinkable way. All the fruit is completely gone. But still has great color, strong earthy tones, and tons of tannins No fruit; all earthiness and tannins

December 31, 2021 - Was at its peak. Excellent!
December 13, 2021 - Solid cab in its prime. Did half bottle first night and vacuum sealed. But somehow turned quickly overnight. Bummer.
August 29, 2021 - I opened the bottle and had with a steak. Notes of vanilla, earth and tobacco. Paired well with my steak, had 2 glasses. Did not realize that it needed decanting, but drank the rest the next day with chicken pot pie and it was a great pairing. The extra air really helped, it was plummy and delicious. I will decant my last bottle before drinking.
March 14, 2021 - Slow to open. Seems a bit one-dimensional even after an hour or two. Much better day 2 with a bit of that Rutherford dust, menthol and long finish. Not sure if this just needs more time.
June 21, 2020 - No detailed notes. With a couple hours of air it opened up beautifully. Well balanced, long finish, complex. Sorry to see our last bottle go.
May 23, 2020 - Wonderfully aged and perfect to pair with steak. Velvety tannins and integrated flavors. Smooth long finish.
May 9, 2020 - Nice wine, not great. Red currents, strawberries, violets, underbrush, minerality, tobacco, green peppercorns, nice balance, but could be a bit longer on the flavors.
April 29, 2020 - Smells much better than it tastes. Not a bad finish but has what tastes like a much higher alcohol content than listed. Almost like a shot of everclear was mixed in. Wouldn’t recommend at this price.
Anyone know a better way to describe that would be appreciated!
