November 21, 2020 - Das ist ein zuverlässiger Wein. Man kann ihn jung öffnen, 15 Jahre warten und genau dazwischen, immer hat er etwas zu bieten und weiß zu gefallen. Würze, Kräutrigkeit, reife Kirsche und ausgewogenes Tannin lassen ihn gut dastehen, sogar mit Miesmuscheln in einer pikanten Tomatensoße. Gut!

September 1, 2017 - An amazing showing. On the nose stewed plum, with aeration darker, powdery plum with eucalyptus/menthol, tobacco (comes across as unlit menthol cigarette), juniper berry, aniseed, cassia and cinnamon - finish of heat. Palate similar with more vanilla, creamy elements, peppermint and great, strong length with ripe fruit. Fine tannins, but giving a dusty element to its texture. This is really good, hang on for a bit longer.

May 23, 2016 - A little bit disappointed.
I just expected more from this famous name. Bottle rioja code: RM N 882387.
There was nothing to smell. No sweet vanilla notes or cherry fruit.
the taste was harsh en unbalanced.
After a good wash up in the carafe and back in to the bottle it was so much better. Nice but not the tasting jewel I expected.
No caracter. It could be a wine from Argentina or Chili for half the price.
