April 7, 2020 - Not quite as disgustingly oxidized as the Demoiselle recently, but oxidized nonetheless.

July 9, 2018 - Medium yellow. Citrus nose but not a lot of varietal pungency. Wonderful texture without being marked by wood. Brighter and more lively than prior bottles. Excellent cut and length. By far the best bottle of this I've had, impressive integration of the oak which poked out for the first 5 years of its life.

April 9, 2018 - Superb. Light gold with a touch of green. Exciting aromas of honey, lemon, apple, crushed river rocks, and lees. Tangy and mineral but with fullness and savoriness from the lees.

November 17, 2017 - This is a wonderful white wine. Complex and delicious. Notes of poached pear, green apple, peach, oatmeal, and minerals. There is a lovely sweetness to the poached pear without any heaviness from residual sugar or high alcohol. This wine has just the right level of acidity and body that it can be savored on its own yet easily paired with food.

It's amazing how different sauvignon blanc tastes in high-end Sancerre versus New Zealand. I admire both styles, but I see no resemblance whatsoever.

July 9, 2017 - Deep yellow. Vanilla and orange oil-does not scream Sancerre. Broad, viscous, lacking a bit of verve. Lower pitched citrus and lowish acidity. Better than a bottle a year ago, but I certainly wouldn't hold these much longer. Just not as mineral or zesty as I like.
