January 5, 2024 - [Blind] Elegant, pretty, red cherry. Concentrated red fruit power on the palate. Nuanced and detailed though, I thought deceptively youthful but actually just a little young. Very nice.

September 20, 2023 - Good gracious Lord, this is insanely beautiful!! The aroma, the intensity of the rosy red fruits and more importantly, the subtlety of the fruits, driving me crazy! Beautifully judged, beautifully made!

September 9, 2022 - 200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Borderline oxidative, very mature, not in the best shape. Still drinkable, probably not a representative bottle

August 25, 2022 - At Pitchfork, Peregian. This wine shows a deep cherry red colour with touches of edge browning and a complex nose of dark cherries, wild strawberries, all-spice, game and limestone earth. The palate is gracefully aged with a balance of red berry fruits and autumn forest floor and ceps in a medium bodied setting. The finish is fine and persists nicely with a savoury and finely tannic impact. Delicious !

May 19, 2022 - A wonderful mature wine, drank in a flight of 07 Beze Rousseau, the contrast was stark. Here (07) the exuberant youthfullnes and there (00) the settled mature pinot experience. The 2000 surely was superb, it lacked on reflection though the potential for further upside and also lacked a bit of depth on the midpalate for me. On its own a wonderful display of near pinot perfection just in comparison with five other vintages and especially the other mature samples (89 & 90) lacking a bit. That being said I would be happy to drink this any day with immense joy. Drink now - 2035.

(Domaine Armand Rousseau Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze) Elegant and sophisticated, yet very tasty; medium-plus finish (really opens up after 90 minutes in the glass)
