March 29, 2016 - I drank the 1996 and 2001 Estate Cab at the same time. Both wines were a little light in body but the color held together well. Good berry flavors for both with a short finish. Both were good and enjoyable. Nothing more, nothing less.
May 31, 2013 - Well-balanced fruit and acidity, especially after an hour of decanting. Still drinking quite young.
April 24, 2012 - This wine is drinking perfectly right now...soft, supple and smooth and what a slick finish! Glad I waited all these years to drink this.
November 30, 2011 - still really good, think the wine is ready to drink currently
December 18, 2010 - Really delicious. These wines need lots of age and this is my last Cab from Sullivan and I seem to have waited long enough. On the nose: dried cranberries and other dark red fruits, eucalyptus, cedar and dusty minerals. On the palate: dusty dried dark red cherries, cassis, with black and green peppers and baking spices. Tannins integrated nicely and did not hinder the expression of the fruit. Wonderful.
December 15, 2009 - Medium body, good color. Nothing complex, slight fruit up front, light finish. Easy drinking. Drink now.
November 17, 2009 - Inky color, medium body. Not going to get any better with age from here on out. Easy to drink, slight dark fruit and oak. Not complex or interesting.
February 25, 2009 - This is the third time I have drank this wine in the past few months. It is a pleasant wine, nothing really great about it. Easy drinking, thin upfront, medium body and good color. Drink now as it will not get better.
December 24, 2008 - Nice wine. Better than expected. Could last another year.
December 1, 2008 - Drinking well at this point, probably at it's peak with a year or so left. Color is dark, the body is a medium weight. Still has nice berry flavors in the middle and the finishes with Rutherford bench dust.
