March 1, 2020 - Drank over 3 nights and each night showed different character, all really interesting. Night 1 was pepper and smoke, night two was lush, silky blue fruit, night threee was a balanced complexity. This wine still has years to mature but fun to drink now.

June 29, 2017 - Coming through its sleeping phase. Showing good funk on the nose with blue fruit. Palate has pepper coming back mixed in with blue fruits and bacon fat. Finish is lasting and pretty.

August 13, 2016 - Great WA syrah. Not too funky. Good QPR.

June 21, 2016 - Was served blind and the nose spoke of N Rhone with the lavander, violets, umami, seaweed, pepper and iron. The palate was balanced but more generous and so I guessed WA syrah but was surprised by the producer. Great showing for this.

June 15, 2016 - Elegant Washington fruit upfront, copious north Rhone substance thereafter, including pepper, herbs, smoke, and umami. With air, the wine's earthy substance becomes more forward. Great acid and balance. Likely to continue evolving over the next three to five years and it should drink well through 2025+.

May 22, 2016 - Tight at opening, developing nicely over the night. Smoke and cedar on the nose. Gives way to tight black fruit and meaty flavors on the palate.

April 18, 2016 - Loved this wine on release for the white pepper intensity. Interestingly enough that has subsided and given way to a more brooding Syrah. Tasted over two nights and shown better on the second this wine is in hibernation. Should be excellent in a few years.
