February 17, 2024 - Mature, getting dark in colour, while still fine to drink has lost some of its vibrancy and probably should have been drunk a few years back.

February 16, 2024 - Mixed Italians (Terra Rossa, N1): Nutty, woody notes and just a hint of oxidation. Sweet coconut, vanilla, green mango, lemon, talc and TCP. It feels mature and there's lots of interest here. A touch chewy on the palate, quite dry with a hint of bitterness on the finish. I tend to prefer Calvarino's more mineral and less ripe character overall, but it was really interesting to try this with some age.

November 2, 2023 - Pieropan Masterclass (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Medium minus intensity aromas of honey, sulphur, slight bruised apple, citrus, dried apricot, plenty of savoury spice, viscose and glycerol fatness accompanies the medium plus intensity acidity and intrusive alcohol warmth chased by plenty of drying grip that flavours don't persist past which leaves aa sense of dried out disappointment. A little tired for me.

October 26, 2023 - Upon opening, it reveals significant signs of evolution. Intense golden color with a beautiful luminosity. The nose carries oxidative notes, green apple, caramel, and at times resin. There's a significant volatile acidity, probably opened slightly beyond the ideal drinking window. In the mouth, it maintains freshness and salinity with moderate persistence.

All'apertura spande note di evoluzione importanti. Colore dorato intenso dalla bella luminosità. Naso dai toni ossidativi, mela verde, caramello, resina a tratti. volatile importante. probabilmente aperta leggermente oltre il range ideale di bevuta. In bocca reggono freschezza e sapidità, persistenza media.

June 6, 2023 - Utterly gorgeous wine - lemon, beeswax textured , butterscotch and white fruits - quite marvellous
