March 12, 2015 - Deep ruby color. Evolving nose includes plum, cherry, red currant, menthol, red licorice, baking spice, leather. Medium+ body, medium acidity, high soft tannins. Luscious, rich, smooth. Long finish of cherry and chalky tannins. I would guess this is a Bordeaux in a blind tasting. The main difference would be the cherry fruit, which is a nice addition. Very enjoyable.

April 10, 2014 - In the bouquet dark forest fruits, espresso and sweet spices. On the palate very ripe and sweet fruits, rose hips, mild acidity and good tannin and some pleasant bitterness. Overall a mature and supple wine. Ready now and the next few years.

April 10, 2014 - Tasting of the Utrecht Wine Society (Utrecht, NL): 15% ABV. Youthful appearance, nice saturation, starting to brown at the edges; sweet and supple but with drying tannins, decent glass of wine, too tannic to be really harmonious and balanced, nice enough but a bit disjointed.
