Community Tasting Notes 6

August 17, 2020 - Another château owned by the insurance company AXA. Another one to add to the immense collection. Compote of black fruit on the nose with predominant notes of plums and black cherries. Heavy, powerful but without a hint of elegance on the palate. It only offers length and some imbalance since it lacks acidity. Still enjoyable now but can only get better in the short term. Completely different what I tasted two years ago.

March 2, 2018 - Bordeaux Showroom (Lavinia - Madrid): Delicious, totally ready, silky and meaty, long and with enough body. One of my choices for tonight.

January 30, 2018 - IMW Bordeaux Tasting - 2013 Vintage (Hyatt, San Francisco): Slightly fishy(?) pyrazinic nose with a bit of black plum. Softer palate (less tannic and acidic) than the Left Bank wines. Still - this is really austere for a Right Bank.

April 26, 2014 - From 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine represents 50% of the crop. Black raspberry with hints of fennel on the nose, the wine is light in style and delicate in structure with a polite cherry finish. Drink this young, as it will be best in its first 5-7 years. 88-90 Pts

April 1, 2014 - intense dark fruits aroma & flavours, well balanced, round tannins, good harmony, pleasant finish 89-92
