December 15, 2015 - A private dinner (Restaurant Rijks, Amsterdam, NL): A blend of Shiraz, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Mourvèdre, 15% ABV. Flavoursome, full-bodied, with ripe black fruit, fresh red berries, warm spices, a hint of tar and beautifully integrated new oak, floral lift, lovely freshness and mineral energy, lovely balance, hint of cream, clean and pure flavours, remarkably elegant finish, good length. Expertly made, marries power and charm, has tension and interest.

January 19, 2015 - As per AMJN below...I have little more to add. Smooth and dang tasty. This is pricey @ 30$ and 15% ETOH. Delivers the QPR. Drinks perhaps at its peak and will hold for a couple more years yet...not sure if this screams South Africa to me, but nice blend that comes off like a 60/40 split of old world/new world. Perfect for Winter time fare.

August 2, 2014 - Oh my. Fantastic South African Blend. Not normally fond of Shiraz-Cabernet blending but the Mourvedre has really filled a hole that is normally in Shiraz-Cabernet blends. On the nose typical South African shiraz notes, somewhere between Australia and France, closer to Washington. Worn leather, spice, ink and cola. On the Palate creamy game and oak meets blueberry streusel, meaty fruit, rustic spice and thick mouth coating tannins. Big wine. Love Luddite. for $30 CAD Great QPR for South Africa.
