July 2, 2018 - Decent Nebbiolo but definitely ready to drink now!
Needed some time to breathe too
April 18, 2018 - whoa what an intoxicating nose. All rose petals and licorice root, brown supple leather with a whip of beautiful dried herb (thyme) action. Mature spiced strawberry fruit and peaty chalky black tea tannin with some caramel that lift the wine on to its shoulders and carries it through. Finish is long drying aniseed and savoury. A brilliant wine
March 14, 2018 - spiced strawberry thyme and dried herbs, red rope licorice and quintessential pink roses. Some dark tarry earth and a splash of jersey caramel leading to lovely black tea tannin structure. Excellent shit
March 14, 2018 - Good Nebbiolo, not a great bottle though.
Drink now.
December 11, 2017 - Yum - really nice, restrained wine. Not the most sophisticated wine, but has a good balance between fruit intensity, acidity and firm tannins. In an Australian context this is good value. Can't see this one fading any time soon.
September 27, 2017 - Soft and approachable the nose is floral and the weight was moderate with all tannins resolved. At ideal development.
August 25, 2017 - Licorice root, dried flowers, new leather. Succulent with open knit tannins. Very easy to drink - A wonderful hit of Nebbiolo goodness here. No oak to muck things up. Great drinking now or over the next 5 years.
March 16, 2017 - Quite decent and very nicely developed, still not anything extra beyond quite nice.
February 3, 2017 - Nicely expressive and developed. Time is right for the balance at Easter.
May 31, 2014 - Decanted for 3 hours, although as soon as I opened this it was ready to go.
Tightly knit, yet to unfurl. Fresh and vibrant nose. Amaretto, cherry, dried pressed flowers. Surprisingly good depth for a langhe neb at this price point. Tannins are chalky, a bit hard edged on the finish at this stage. Best with food, which is no surprise. Really enjoyable. 92+ 2016-2022.
