February 7, 2022 - A lovely range of apples and citrus and a smidge tropical fruits and lemon curd in entry that carries through the midpalate. Lots of energy on the finish, with acidity and a balance of lime and oak that disappears pretty quickly. I’d be afraid to hold it for much longer for fear the liveliness will fade.
Tastes surprisingly current! Would never have guessed it’s approaching a decade. Came back on day 2 and added a point because it’s coming together so nicely!

July 24, 2021 - This is still going strong. Some older notes, like sherry, but for sure grapefruit, melon on the nose. Acidity is very strong, in a good way. It’s insanely deep. Very rich texture. Grapefruit, apple pie spices, anise. It tastes young.

Really shows how well-made SB can easily age.

August 20, 2016 - Was my favourite in an absolutely crazy good lineup of SB from around the world with a Napa emphasis. Minerality, energy, zips around your palate and finishes beautifully. Restraint, citrus, mineral
    Awesome

December 26, 2015 - A bit too sweet for my liking, but still a great wine with good depth of flavor across the palate.

October 17, 2015 - This wine is green straw in the glass with a nose and flavors of lemon rind and white flowers. It has a lengthy, mineral-driven finish. One of the best Sauvignon Blancs, I've ever tasted. Actually, one the best white wines, I've ever tasted.

August 22, 2015 - Fantastic SB, it's crisp, it's citrusy, the finish is long and all is in fantastic balance. Massican has yet to disappoint in my household.

April 6, 2015 - A compelling Sauvignon Blanc that is crisp, light, and layered. Almost clear in color, nose of almond and lemon. Tastes of grapefruit, pear, and orange peel, with hints of honey and fresh-cut grass. 14.1% alcohol, though tastes like much less. Great balance between fruit and acidity - light without being simple, crisp without being biting. Improved on second day. If there is a better 100% CA SB around $30, I've never had it. In my opinion, this easily surpasses more expensive CA SB's - more complicated than a Spotswoode; more graceful than a Mondavi To Kalon.

February 25, 2015 - Still such a remarkably potent wine, losing none of the flavor, acid backbone, or chalk. Beautiful.
