January 30, 2018 - IMW Bordeaux Tasting - 2013 Vintage (Hyatt, San Francisco): Thin and pyrazinic. An austere Left Bank style. Some black currant.

August 31, 2016 - Unfortunately another classic example of a difficult 2013. The wine lacks some quality signs along with a unripe palate. Closed with aromas of vanilla and dark fruit. Quite bitter finish.

March 28, 2016 - Very black nose, hint of vanilla… vegetal taste, silky tannins

March 11, 2016 - Heart's Delight Tasting (Sofitel - Washington, DC): Pretty aromatics of vibrant currant fruit and spice. Smooth despite some solid structure, medium acidity, fresh red and black cherry and currants. Ends with floral tones. Plenty to unpack in the cellar.

March 7, 2016 - UCGB tasting Bordeaux 2013 (Amsterdam): Dark forest fruits, some smoke and toast in this wine. Some vanilla and bell pepper as well. Juicy acidity and round tannin. Fairly full bodied. Well made wine. Try around 2021. 88 - 89

February 7, 2016 - Medium bodied, forward, with a fresh, light, red fruit and oaky personality that is already quite easy to drink.

January 30, 2016 - Union Des Grands Crus de Bordeaux San Francisco. Nose of dusty earth, touch of minerals, and bell pepper, more of the same on the palate, typical St. Estephe, medium body, simple, medium finish.

January 30, 2016 - UGC Bordeaux Tasting - 2013 Vintage (Bentley Reserve, SF): Seems like a perfectly standard Left Bank. The fruit isn’t super expressive but it’s ready to drink, with well-rounded tannins and a very ripe stewed bell pepper herbaceousness.

January 27, 2016 - UGC 2016 (Chicago, IL): The green pepper is strong with this one! A relatively austere bottle that has me thinking a little bit of Loire, but the lighter palate seems to work a bit more here since the other components don't pop out as much and this is more clearly cast in an austere mold.

April 23, 2014 - 2013 En Primeur Tasting (Crystal Wines shop, Valley Point): More dusty, earthy notes than Calon Segur along with soft fruity palate. Not bad.
