July 26, 2023 - Bought onboard a cruise ship. Smooth, notes of iron, not overly sweet. Not too heavy or light; medium body. Had some complexity that faded the second day.. Was better the first night than the second (stored only with cork and not vacu vin).

May 24, 2022 - I like the old school character in this savory red. 2013 is maturing very very quickly, so this is best consumed as soon as possible. I should have opened mine sooner.

December 30, 2018 - Initial nose rubber with a hint of sour milk. Taste is mild and brief. Acidic sour cherry with very mild tannins, but generally soft attack. Very short aftertaste. After it warms up there's a hint of undergrowth and cedar box but it's a distant echo, a memory of what could have been. This is overpriced at £27 a bottle, I'd spend no more than £10 on it but be glad not to drink it. Not house wine but a long way short of fine wine. It can be finished on its own, but with no gusto.

January 30, 2018 - IMW Bordeaux Tasting - 2013 Vintage (Hyatt, San Francisco): Burnt with a little popcorn (reductive? diacetyl? I noticed this two years ago as well.). Tart and tannic palate with a hint of dark fruit and dark green pepper pyrazines (a hint of coffee grounds as well). Austere.
