Community Tasting Notes 6

May 11, 2019 - Lively, pure, expressive and inviting. Whatever it might lack (by vintage standards) in terms of depth, it makes up for with suave appeal. Too tightly wound to properly evaluate without several hours of air.

March 9, 2019 - Consistent with previous note. Lovely to the core. Concentrated, balanced, and without edges. It should last for another decade or so.

January 31, 2019 - Highly expressive sense of the style and vintage. Saturated blueberry, blackberry, raspberry pure, and dark chocolate, backed by crushed black rocks and mineral ores. Lovely harmony, complex finish.

September 9, 2018 - This is an inky black purple wine with a cherry and earthy nose. It was not quite a traditional port which is what was expected. It would be best described it as "port-like". Cherry and chocolate flavors. It was ok, but not worthy of this price point.

April 16, 2016 - Offered by Phredd at the NC crew tasting. "Black & Blue"- grapes, raisins and figs with chewy, dusty tannins. Very primary and young, doesn't feel coherent on the palate at this stage. XA's 4/25/15 note offers promise but for for me this was fairly average. Will let Phredd know to double decant any remaining bottles. Overall Evaluation: B (85).
