January 26, 2019 - En helt ren og deilig moden Musar.
Kunne lett ha tatt denne for en BDX.
Gammelt trevirke, tobakk, blyantkvess og mørke bær.
    Dette er digg!
Super smooth i munn med silkemyk krydret frukt.
    Perfekt moden.
Lang finish med fine faste tanniner.
Musar kan innimellom levere noen virkelig gode opplevelser.

December 4, 2018 - Stunning wine! This has everything from perfectly balanced mix of black fruit, vanilla and perfectly integrated tannins. The finish goes on for ever.

    SMAK
    Torrt/sött: Torrt.
    Syra: Medel +.
    Tanniner: Mycket mysiga och fina.
    Alkohol: Väl integrerad (14 procent).
    Fyllighet: Medel –.
    Smakstyrka: Medel.
Smak: Frukt - röda bär - körsbär, hallon, smultron. Fat - choklad. Ålder – läder och kanske någon liten champinjonhatt
    Textur/balans/bubblighet: Nej.

    Geografi: Beekadalen.
    Pris: 180 kronor. (Då.)

April 2, 2018 - Translucent brick almost like old Burgundy.Mature and intense nose shows plum liqueur, dried fruits, smoky aromas, some leather and tobacco. On the palate this was very light initially and picked up weight with air time.Flavors of sweet red fruits, earth, spices were followed by a lingering note of wild strawberries on the long finish. If you like old world style, this is the wine for you.Drink up now.

March 24, 2018 - BYOB with wines 30+ years (Sollentuna): I rated this 82 (at first even lower) but changed my mind after trying some more. Blackberries, hoisin sauce, cassis, sweet and sour, some bitter at the finish. I had this pegged as a much younger American cabernet Sauvignon.

(Chateau Musar) Gorgeous sexy nose of violets, roses, lavender, leather, and trufle; gorgeous, silky palate, like a '90 Rayas, of kirsch and tart cherry, sous bois, horseradish; long finish (great with elk meatloaf)

Rockss and Fruit

(Chateau Musar) Nose was deep and layered. Pomerolian with intense red fruits, barnyard, mint, tea and some currants. Nose was amazing. The palate was one of the most concentrated Musars I have ever had. Perfectly delineated and ripe with gorgeous purity and length. The whole package and then some.

Winedoctor

(Chateau Musar) A fabulous colour for sixteen years of age. Deep and rich, with an earthy density, although obviously it has the hue of maturity. The nose is sweet, meaty, complex, earthy and vegetal, with treacle toffee nuances. It is a little high-toned and lifted, and with time there are notes of leather and cloves too. Full palate, creamy and balanced, with a little spicy grip although otherwise it is completely ready. But it has the substance, frame and fruit to go for perhaps ten years yet. Even a little fat here alongside the slightly tangy mature fruit.
