March 13, 2021 - No formal notes or rating. Tannins powerful.

June 24, 2017 - Has developed fine. Following it during the first two hours the nose shows a huge number of elements from white flowers, light red berries with strawberries present over minerals, brass and wet paint to earthy forest notes, cherries and prunes. Strong but tamed, mouthdrying tannins, fine acidity. Fermented cherries, prunes, licorice in the background, peppery notes and still also some clean, fresh fruit. Full bodied and significant. Very long aftertaste where the tannins and acidity continues to bite. Definitely more development to be expected over the next years - it is amazing what has happend since my first tastings in 2015.
Super price/quality ratio - if only I had bought some more bottles....

September 17, 2015 - Light color. The nose is still a bit restrained with floral notes, plum and a bit of barnyard. Strong acidity, plum, prune, cherry skin and leather on the palate. Bone dry and strict; will certainly develop over the years.

August 15, 2015 - Cherry & raspberry nose, naturally spicy without any small-oak additions. Very smooth on the palate, with wide-open fruit, mellow acidity, finely woven tannins and no overly warming sensations. Highly enjoyable now and over the next ten.

July 26, 2015 - @Le vigne bio, La Morra (served too warm): Beautiful nose with cherries, prunes, yasmin and a touch of licorice. Strong but fine tannins, medium+ acidity and body. Cherry skin, prune, licorice with the licorice dominating the aftertaste. Needs air now.
