February 25, 2018 - My scale: 95 exactly what I want, 90 will buy again, 85 good, 70-80 not my style, 50 not drinkable.

Ripe red fruit, fresh leather, licorice and baking spice (clove?) in the nose. Medium body, but “dense” flavor a of cassis syrup, black licorice, damp cellar, mulch and fresh tobacco. Long finish of cassis and leather. Wow.

December 25, 2017 - PnP for Christmas ham and this was ready to go. Deep dark hues poured into glass with some barnyard on nose. This quickly blew off to reveal lovely rose/lilacs, smokey meats, and spice. Velupuous mouth-filling layers of pure dark fruits, bit of dusty minerality with seemlessly integrated tannins/acidity, and persistant 1' plus finish framed each glass through dinner. Gorgeous, well crafted wine from Costco!

September 16, 2017 - Big and bold, but with medium to full body. Deep dark fruit led by raisins and blackberry. Tannins have mellowed out, but excellent structure and some spice at the end. Excellent wine and better value.
