March 3, 2016 - Blueberries, cherries, meat, earth and some spice on the nose. Red fruits, blueberries and plums, with a touch of pepper, on the palate. Good acidity. A bit of unpleasant syrupy flavor, some bitterness.

November 17, 2015 - Maybe a touched corked. Super meaty on the nose, like a northern Rhone. And then a touch bitter on the palate as well.

Rouge vif violacé. Nez fruité aux notes de vieilles barriques. La bouche est vive, fruitée, intense à l'acidité presque énervée. Plein et agréable, on croque dans le fruit. J'aime

November 17, 2014 - Interesting blend! The colour is the purple you would expect from a young Argentine Malbec. There is a lot of funkiness on the nose at first, possibly from the Corvina, but it faded as the wine opened up. Nice mouth feel, lots of young tannins, and peppery. Of course, Masi is an old-world producer trying to do new things, so you would expect aspects of both old and new world in this wine. Overall, good potential but whether it will improve with age remains to be seen. It went quite well with grilled sausages for dinner - more than enough body to handle the spiciness.
