February 5, 2023 - 11 years in, drinking very well. Great nose, color. Delicious!

October 4, 2021 - Au nez : minéral et floral...fleurs sèches, et framboises. Mi-corsé, texturé avec des tannins encore présents malgré fins. Moyenne à longue finale.

May 7, 2021 - Dark for a Pinot. Nose of mushroom and black raspberry, the savory flavors and mushroomy earthiness meld with the fruits and black tea.

December 12, 2019 - Moderately aromatic and flavorful, but I just don't love it. Plenty of flesh and flavor, but there's just SOMETHING in the flavor I'm not loving. Licorice? Reminiscent of CdP. Some would like. Odd. 87+

April 28, 2019 - Brilliant ruby red with medium plus to high optical density and very high reflectivity. Intense aromas of bright cherries, mixed fruits, roses, and a spicy earth and mineral flourish. Vibrant acidity and medium body on the palate, with a youthful presentation. Tannins are firm, providing for a structured and a firm, broad texture with some medium grain, which really smooths out with some air. Really shows excellent framework, with nice concentration and a lithe density. Flavours of cherry and raspberry on the attack, with some smoky and spicy undertones. Some roses and tar dance above the fruit. The midpalate picks up some herbal spices and a juicy character, with a mineral-laced mixed fruit adding to the cherry and tart fruits. The final transition brings a floral and tobacco twist before finishing with cherry and a very light savoury tobacco char. Decent length. Overall, really nice intensity, and complexity is okay- some depth here, but not quite seamless.

This is a very nice wine. Really nice styling, with some strength and robustness in place of straight elegance. But definitely not over the top- just more new world than old. A thoughtful wine though, and one that can be considered carefully and enjoyed by considering thoughtfully. With time in glass, shows an increasing degree of cohesion, and gains some interest. Really nice wine here- probably can be held for a good bit and improve I would think. Really nice!
