Community Tasting Notes 4

July 15, 2017 - Upon opening perfumed on the nose with raspberry and vanilla notes; after an hour in decanter darker and deeper notes - like dark roses, blackberries and a hint of liquorice. The palate is very nebbiolo like, and served blind I'm afraid I would have gone to a young barolo; full bodied, intense fruity flavours, really tannic, medium acid. Long, harmonious and slightly perfumed finish. Perfect match with grilled entrecôte.

May 15, 2016 - What a gorgeous wine. The nose was dark and brooding with crushed stone and black earth up front. Dried raspberry came forward with time in the glass, along with dry cocoa and flowers. On the palate, it was silky with acid-driven vibrancy to its tart cherry and spice. It turned floral and mineral-like through the finish with a long and lingering note of sweet tea and smoke. This is so enjoyable today for its pliancy and richness on the palate, yet there’s a lurking structure beneath that is sure to carry it for many years.

March 9, 2016 - Clear, ruby. Dark cherries, some dried fruit. No green notes here. Good concentration. Dusty dry tanins.

October 19, 2014 - Perfumed aromas with green notes and cat pee like in a sauvignon blanc. The nose also reminds a little about a Côtes-du-Rhône. In the mouth, intense, fruity and velvety (compared to the other single vineyards). Some oak, but not annoyingly. Modern style.
