April 11, 2022 - Classic Shiraz from Barossa; nice but not too complex.

August 31, 2019 - A velvet hammer. Deep ruby, with thick dark kegs. The nose is clean, with pronounced aromas of ripe black fruit and toasted coconut, vanilla and sweet baking spice. The palate is dry but bursting with fruit so much do that there must be some residual sugar. The flavors are consistent with the nose. The acidity and tannins are low, while the alcohol is a shocking 16%. The mouthfeel is very smooth and rich and creamy as s result of the alcohol and the sugar. The body, flavor intensity and length are all pronounced. It is very lush and seemingly youthful, despite the six years of age, possibly due to the neutral effect of the twist-off closure. Given its lack of structure, however, it is not likely to improve with more aging due to its lack of structure. This is definitely a good party wine for cocktailing, or for enjoying outdoors with grilled sausages and steaks. Best served slightly chilled.

May 13, 2018 - Did the Mollydooker Shake, then recanted for about 30 min, needed a little time to open up - Consistent with other tasting notes: big, spicy, heat from the alcohol, not for everyone but if you like this style it's great, especially for the price.
Addendum- after letting it open for another 1-2 hrs, it mellowed and some of the heat blew off....still good but fruit has faded a bit, I think it's time to drink, not likely to improve -
