August 1, 2023 - 11 years down the road and this bottle was singing! nose of white flowers, stone fruit, and some citrus. on the palate the wine has some tropical notes along with pear, lemon curd, and just a touch of oak. one of my best bottles from this case so far..........developed nicely over an hour and half drinking window. medium straw yellow with precise balance and acidity. perhaps a little richer than prior years but what a finish.

February 12, 2021 - Fairly consistent with previous bottle from March 2020. Wonderful nose, lemon, lime zest, herbs, Madagascar vanilla and brioche. Great balance, delicate but with enough dept of flavors. My last bottle and if I had more I would drink them this year. Last bottle was slightly better. Perfect example of California coastal Chardonnay

March 18, 2020 - Nice medium gold-yellow color. Wonderful nose, lemon, lime zest, herbs, Madagascar vanilla, coconut and pie crust. Reminds me a bit of a lemon meringue pie. With air it opens up to some light floral notes. Excellent depth and flavours upon tasting it. This wine delivers from the first second all the way into a very balance flavour curve and finish! Not overdone or boring or flat in any way. Oak and alcohol seamless integrated. Lemon, green apples, and pear on the finish. This is outstanding and in its prime now!

Petrol (night 1 only), lemon, melon on nose/palate. Full body, high acidity, long finish. Would buy again.

March 6, 2019 - this wine never disapoints. a touch lighter than the estate but a huge wine nonetheless. nose of lemon, hibiscus, and wet slate. on the palate, the wine is medium bodied with good acidity as is typical of the santa cruz appellation. there's fresh cream and lemon curd with a touch of minerality on the mid-palate. there's a sophistication here that one might take for a burgundy but this is west coast chardonnay at it's best. the wine has a long finish and a purity of fruit that is hard to come by. a great wine in its own right but a great value as well. almost 7 years old and it's just starting to show some signs of secondary flavor development. this is wine that must be aerated for an hour before you BEGIN to drink it. As you drink it over the next several hours the wine will continue to develop in the glass leaving you with a feeling of utter satisfaction. It paired wonderfully with panko baked fresh cod and a mussels muniere appetizer

January 28, 2018 - Aromas of cream and lemon curd with a deft curl of oak. On the palate, full bodied rich penetrating fruit with a botanical twist, and a bitter lift at the back moving into a long acid finish. Satisfying with some depth.

October 20, 2017 - Not a detailed note, but this is just a delicious, lively, classic California Chardonnay.

    June 4, 2017 - Didn't take notes.

I loved this as did my wife - great fruit with minerality & complexity you would expect from a White Burgundy. Will buy some more. This would appeal to both new world & old word Chard drinkers. 91-92.
