Community Tasting Notes 2

November 3, 2014 - On the nose I get tart cherries, cranberries, coffee, and smoked meats. On the palate I get faint raspberries, some red currants and strawberries, dried herbs, cured meats, a somewhat higher than expected acidity, and a medium finish that smacks of cranberries. Overall I really enjoy this wine and think I will pick up some more at the online prices if I can find it.

May 17, 2014 - 2012 Regis Bouvier Cote de Nuits Wines: Red, pale center. More earthy nose with some red fruit. Supple, refined, and crisp. Some mildly drying tannins. Very Gevrey profile and really very fine for a Fixin (although hardly a bargain at $41).
