November 5, 2022 - The Nearly Annual Lyon 10 Year Retro Tasting #24, Wines of Washington (Lyon Again, Eugene, OR): This bottle stood out for its blue fruit, stone and tannins. Easy to guess in a blind tasting when you knew it was coming at some point. Fell off a bit on day 2 => 90. Drink now-2024.

April 5, 2020 - I'll stick with the previous assessment of this being at peak. And lovely. Rich dark fruits, and some juicy acidity to balance it. That color is beautiful. But please, drink up!

January 5, 2020 - Enjoyed the 2014 version of this a few weeks back, seemed like it needed some time. SO found a 2012, which would seem to be "at peak" with just a slight gap mid-palate. Just sort of a dead zone, very small, but noticeable.
But who really knows what PV is supposed to taste like anyway. There are not a lot of vaietal bottlings of said grape. So BRAVO to B. Leighton for making a go of it. I'm certainly all about encouraging this trend, finding more.1 person found this helpful Comment
