March 10, 2018 - Vinho do Clube Adega Gran Gold, muito bem-vindo pois tenho poucas referências de produtores do Dão e pretendo explorar mais a região. TN 100% com 6m de estágio em barricas de carvalho francês. Coloração rubi com tons violáceos. No olfato traz muita fruta madura e em compota, depois notas de mentol, café e especiarias. Acidez justa, taninos firmes e bem trabalhados, corpo médio+ e final de bom curso, muito redondo. Agradou com certeza, embora a RQP dele pelo Clube Adega (R$148,00) seja no mínimo discutível.

December 22, 2014 - Well I liked this but SO did not. It's a new world / old world thing. I thought it was excellent value. Very complex and deep. SO did agree it tasted like a 3x more expensive wine, just not enjoyable...

It is an outstanding quality wine with a nice fruit concentration balanced by tannins and acidity, a lingering finish and a great complexity provided by floral, dried herbs and minty notes and a well integrated oaky character. Can drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop some more complexity in the next 3-8 years.
