January 12, 2024 - Wow - still quite drinkable - light, brown, but nice light fruit dominated. What a 27 year old wine should taste like.

April 4, 2022 - Barolo Trip; 4/3/2022-4/7/2022 (Barolo): Pop and pour at Brezza Restaurant.
Gorgeous ruby with a deep orange rim.
On first taste dried, somewhat stewed fruit. And a dusty, mushroom, sous bois on the backend. That blew off after a 10 minutes or so, but I found myself looking for it, I wanted those tertiary earthy notes back.
Then a bit more of the tannins and fruit came out to join us for a risotto cooked with Barolo. After an hour or so the deep earthiness came back but now was an accompaniment to the fruit. It came together really nicely. Turned a meal with average food into a better meal, just because of the wine. This is still drinking relatively well, but declining, really happy we had it.1 person found this helpful Comment -

January 17, 2021 - Surprising how well this is still drinking. Fruit still there along with hearty forest, leather, beef notes. Really enjoyable still, but certainly starting to lose a little luster.

October 29, 2019 - While the fruit has started to fade a little is still drinking nicely. Dark fruit, forest floor and dried rose.
Light on the nose but full mouth feel and lingering finish. -

July 12, 2019 - Definitely a more ethereal Nebbiolo, one that would’ve been called “feminine” in days past. Shows cedar and bramble with a hint of stewed cherry on the nose. Light in body, shows less fruit than it likely once did. Slightly balsamic on the palette, still has a bit of bramble and a hint of tart black plum. Tannins fine and soft with a long finish. Was probably gorgeous at one time but is definitely on the decline
