February 15, 2020 - I'm always skeptical when the label talks more about the artwork than the wine but this was good. Drink it now if you have any. Wish I had more.

January 30, 2020 - First off, this is not a 2011 vintage, but a 2014, which I couldn't find here. 72% cab sau, 20% merlot, 5% malbec, and 3% cab franc. Decanted for 1.5 hours then poured through an aerator. Still seemed a little young. Fruity and a somewhat bland, not much structure or finish. I think its the Merlot, which is not my favorite. All in all fairly satisfying for the price, but not a standout by any means.

September 8, 2019 - Dark purple. Nose of floral, dark fruits and spice. Black fruits, cocoa, spice, medium to full bodied. Nicely balanced with medium tannins and long finish.

April 25, 2019 - This 9 year old top of the line wine of Chateau Michelle Artist Series in Washington was the consensus favorite when tasted side by side with the 2015 Chateau Batailley from Pauillac in Bordeaux. Both wines shared an almost identical blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot, and an average price in the $75+ range. But the Batailley that was universally praised by professional reviewers as one of the top overachievers of the fine 2015 vintage, meriting a 95 point score. The Saint Michelle stood out with an opaque black color, rich fruit, well structured acid and tannin, smooth texture, and a long mouth and throat coating aftertaste. Overall, one of the best Saint Michelle wines I have had in years, and at a rock bottom price of $34.
