April 10, 2016 - Good, but not great yet. Needs time in the bottle.

March 31, 2016 - Dinner with Friends (3x82 BDX, and lot of other stuff) (The Trout Club): This was pop and pour, so perhaps some air might have helped this a bit more. It is a great vintage and only six years. I don't think so though. Light ruby in color. The nose has cherries and diluted cherry juice with a slight celery note. On the palate, it is nice but mostly one dimensional cherries. There is a slight celery note here as well. Light tannins. The acidity is not strong but stands out as non-integrated. To be fair, coming after a trio of 1982 Bordeaux didn't do it any favors. I meant to revisit but that didn't happen.

January 11, 2016 - Russk. Medicinal cherry. Don't buy more.

  • Double-A Likes this wine: 90 points

October 6, 2015 - Cherry, nut and amaretto nose. Med-full bodied, aggressively dry and astringent palate; good solid finish. Needs a decade or three.
