July 3, 2021 - I’m loving how the vintage is drinking, especially so from the top producers. Rousseau and Mugnier being my favorites. The 2013 Fuées is loaded with spice and violets and has such lovely purity of fruit that’s backed by a vibrant line of focused acidity and a cool mineral infusion. Excellent.

October 13, 2020 - PnP'ed. Pretty scents from the get-go - panoply of violets, smoke, blackberries & bits of earth. The '13s must be generally in a good place (a recent '13 Bruno Clair Cazetiers was most tasty as well). Medium-bodied with a satiny texture, it had nice purity & concentration at the same time, gliding across the palate effortlessly culminating in a lengthy finish. Beautiful wine that will improve as it gains more complexity with cellar age. My 2nd WOTN after the '02 Roumier Cras.

September 30, 2020 - Airy, floral and seductive with red currant, coffee beans, perfume and orange peel. Slightly light palate but just very alluring and sexy today. 92-93

December 28, 2016 - This was good, not great, at this young age. It certainly wasn't precocious like the Fourrier GCVV and the Bertheau CM that I drank with it. No, this was a little closed and grapey. Where the other two wines were crunchy and red fruited, this was purpleish, and a little tight, with not too much jumping out, if you will. Certainly give this some time.

September 18, 2016 - Saturated ruby. A combination of light brettanomyces and significant wood char. Candied cherry and cocoa from the wood. Heavy for Chambolle and the oak is on full display. Impressive concentration, but where is the lightness and delicacy of Chambolle?? Disquieting New World style for this cru, not the first time I've noticed this in Mugnier's Fuées.
