October 30, 2022 - This was back to being very enjoyable at this point; the nose is quite nice, fresh red berry fruits, some earthy humus, floral notes, and a bit of black tea. The palate is a bit rustic, but still shows the Mugnier elegance and has good balance and reasonable depth for the vintage. The tannins are just a bit heavy towards the finish, but with a lamb chop I hardly noticed. Probably better in the next few years.

October 20, 2022 - Darker Fruits with some moss and floral tones and a little earthy smoke. Complex and with good maturity.
Very fine structured with good acidic Core and fresh and herbal, perfect integrated fresh slightly floral and blood oranged, vibrant finish.
Aromatically Nuits with a Volnay aspect by Chambolle structure. ;-)

June 22, 2022 - Pop and pour. Sour cherry, red raspberry, bits of earthy goodness. Strangely none of the heavy oak that i've seen from CdlM in the past. Good acidity and a pleasure to drink.

April 4, 2022 - Lonny's btl at Spoon & Stable in Minneapolis prior to the Mike Campabell & Dirty Knobs Concert at the Fineline. Semi translucent ruby red w/ fade on the edges. Maturing & captivating aromas of; berries, earth, spice & forest floor. The palate has an array of earth infused; raspberry, minerality, spice & emerging forest floor notes. Quite suave, concentrated & finally textured. Stands out for its signature NSG earthiness coupled w/ Mugnier's outstanding texture & restrained, weightless fruit. Great terroir expression here! Boy, I'm more & more impressed w/ the few '13s I get a chance to drink! Sleeper vintage? A really lovely flight alongside David's '08 Mugneret Gibourg NSG Chaignots with its richer bolder flavors felt & tasted younger than this '13. Both wines rocked!

April 4, 2022 - Pre-Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs Concert (Spoon & Stable, Mpls, MN): Translucent medium garnet hued red color. This also had been open for about 2 hours ; drank a small glass over 45 minutes. What struck me here was the purity and lift to the ultra pretty ripe raspberry fruits. It stand out on the nose and palate. There's a nice amount of exotic spice in the upper register also. The whole package is medium bodied at most and quite elegant with that lovely red berry fruit standing out. There's more lurking underneath here too and the tannins are very fine, but certainly youthful and present. Lovely.
