July 15, 2021 - rich ruby in glass, translucent nose, lifted black berries, rose, funky chook poo, charred black spices. Elegant, gossamer translucence, lacy, lifted acid and aromatics. Textural, supple fine tannins, earthy forest floor, moss and lifted. Excellent!

February 15, 2020 - Dark leafy nose, fully black cherries, hint burnt black earth, and soft moss. Lifted elegant body, more dark cherries, and certainly savoury and young leather. Good development, supple tanins. Still a few years ahead. Excellent with our hokkien braised duck!

April 19, 2019 - The Great 2019 Easter Marathon!; 4/17/2019-4/26/2019 (Sydney): Rich, sour cherries, dark spices, leafy aromatics, juicy, orange peel. Earth umami, sweet, orange juice, tea leaf, mushroom. Layered, translucent. Gossamer. Finished sweet with tea leaf.

February 11, 2019 - Bought at NZ Cellars, London £39.00 which includes a 20% promo discount.

Good North Island Pinot, but not especially good Value For Money. Very earthy - somewhat unusual style for NZ Pinot (which works, unlike their 'Transit of Venus' label, a disappointing failed 'Natural' wine) - still not mature at 8 yrs old; serious wine, a Foodie style. Lively, not rich or silky, interesting black pepper/dark bitter chocolate edge.

    C....still dark red.

T.....Salty, plenty of acid still, warm alc, medium+ body, dark, still not mature, salted caramel, this needs even more cellaring. Decanted half hour before tasted.

VFM?.....need to taste one at 11-12 yrs old. Not altogether convinced today this is worth even it's discounted price.

December 16, 2018 - Pale ruby, slightly pinkish colour. Started with a bloom of cherries and plums, and then the soil, leaves, and twigs of the forest emerges. Lush, velvety, and quite enjoyable
