September 6, 2019 - Not as high as I thought as something must have been off. Minimal fruit overall, and the nose seemed muted. Finish was decent but could not overcome other issues

February 22, 2019 - Won’t rate as I think it could have been flawed - the nose was muted and had some vegetal, ash like element. Palate presence was just fine but I’m not sure of the soundness of the bottle and it never seemed to open up

January 12, 2019 - Removed from a 54 degree active and transferred to a wide bowl for 1 hour. Beautiful floral nose with essence of violet, iris, and purple flowers. Great structure and acid on the palate.

Was a tad surprised that this was not more fruit forward. Crafted in much more of a Bordeaux style than typical St Helena. Nicely delineated black fruit with hints of cassis and ash. The CF component provides an alluring earthiness without any green/vegetal notes.

A wine I kept returning to for another sip. Drank solo but would pair wonderfully with a multitude of different foods. Just pleasantly surprised with the restrained fruit.....

January 1, 2019 - New years eve. Right bank look alike for sure. 2/3 merlot, 1/3 CF. 14.8%ABv. Big and luscious, but not OTT. Plenty of structure, graphite and earth from the CF. Playful and sweet fruit from the merlot. Floral and sweet on the nose, the palate matches it without any excess residual sugar that sometimes spoils US merlot. Thoroughly enjoyed, although one has to wonder about the price.

September 14, 2018 - Decanted 90 min and drank over another 90 min. Hit its stride at 2hr of air. Lovely floral aromatics on the nose, darker fruit on the palate. Just a really good bottle of wine. Ideally will let the others rest 3-4 more years.
