August 7, 2023 - Give this one time to breath. Tight and astringent on opening. Wife told me to open something else (not a good). I let it sit for an hour and then it was on. Astringency was gone and this was just bursting with flavor. Solid tannins and well balanced. Agree with Mr. T below, I wouldn't pick cab franc if this was served blind.

April 30, 2023 - Very pleasant, but other Pott wines a tad better.

March 12, 2022 - Just delicious. 3 hour decant and paired with braised pork and polenta. But can be enjoyed all by itself. Tasty.

December 3, 2021 - On pointe. 100% delicious. This is the Cab Franc and is dark, dense and youthfully fruit forward on the nose with a dark purple and black fruit core. This wine has a dense black fruit core, roasted blackberry and tar, tobacco and figs. Fruit dense middle and finished with a toasted charred tannic finish that has a lot of black pepper and herbal character. This wine is full throttle. Super dense black core and, if served blind, I would guess this was a 2016 even after 3 hours of air. This one is going nowhere anytime soon.

October 27, 2021 - PnP and into the decanter, some minor bricking. Dirt, earthy, woody, crushed blackberries on the nose, hint of florals on the nose. The palate was juicy (in a great way) with plenty of acid so this has life left. I got no other specifics for now. Clearly a great wine, but my taste buds are not in prime form for better descriptors.

Not scoring cause the ‘rona is messing with my palate but clearly not my nose. Will wait another two weeks and see if my palate precision has returned.

November 28, 2020 - An absolutely stunning, sophisticated Merlot / Cab Franc blend. Blossoms like a flower in the glass - floral and elegant - deep red and surprisingly rich, yet everything perfectly in balance.

October 25, 2020 - A slightly floral nose mixed with some blueberry notes, and a hint of vanilla as it opened in the glass. The flavors were dark skinned fruit and cooked blueberries. Some earthy elements complimented - cedar and oak spice, but were not assertive. Held its own with cheese and charcuterie. Very enjoyable.

August 21, 2020 - My first flawed bottle from Pott. Cork seepage. Hope this was just a blip in an otherwise good journey.
