December 10, 2016 - Best bottle of the lot!
October 28, 2014 - Tobacco, leather, tar, red fruits, poulailler...a bit tired.
July 5, 2014 - This particular bottle was past its prime. Lots of tobacco and little or no fruit.
March 2, 2014 - lovely mid-bodied wine, piercing red fruit and herbs, still life ahead.
November 6, 2010 - Dusty and tannic, beyond it's youthful prime.
February 4, 2010 - Quite lovely, though fading, with gentle rose aromas and some minerality and faint tarry notes.
Acidity has faded as well but still supports the structure.
December 15, 2008 - A little hollow in the midpalate, but still has an enticing nose of spicy cherry and minerals. The finish is short but silky. On some level the wine is still fresh tasting. This wine still charms me, even though it may be fading.
December 13, 2008 - Deep red center with some browning on the rim
Sweet, jammy, light red fruits, a little smokey, overall quite closed
Good mouth feel, stewed red fruit, some minerality, light tannins, some acidity, vegetal notes, smooth but fades fast
Pleasant and a good match with food, but a vague memory of the 1975 Monticchio I remember from many years ago
