Probably at peak within 15 years of vintage. 20 is pushing it. I find this is generally my preference for most southern rhones made in the traditional style. There are clearly exceptions. This isn't one one of them.

March 21, 2017 - No formal note. Nice and integrated, showing an evolved burgundian flavour profile of damp earth, mushroom, black tea, intermingled with the plushness of fresh strawberry still lurking under the tertiary flavours. Nice. Decant for 30 minutes at most.

January 7, 2017 - Pleasant but simple. A bit past prime, very secondary with fading fruit. White pepper, wet stone, iron and a little smoke/scortch. Drink now.

December 15, 2016 - Dry finish got more pronounced after 1-2 hours. Enjoyable wine.
