January 4, 2021 - Drank beyond its best by date, but it was still good. Lots of nose, light on the sugar and the typical Pinot noir compost, strawberry notes were hard to find. It improved the next night. I really enjoyed this on the second drinking.

July 18, 2018 - Nose shows fruity notes of rhubarb and cherry, with pronounced funky notes of prosciutto, saffron, ouzo, and basil. Palate is meaty and bulky: medium-to-full-bodied, with flavours of raspberry, blackberry, anise, browned beef, and sautéed mushrooms.

September 7, 2017 - Full Circle BevCon: Southern Hemisphere (SF: Sir Francis Drake Hotel): Ripe fruit, more forest floor / leaves than the '14 Estate, but also feels a bit faded. Leaner structure, medium plus acid.

July 6, 2017 - A bit tightly wound on opening, showing sour cherry and dried leaves. After some aeration this was brilliant, with a dazzling perfumed nose of baking spices, cherries, orange peel, feijoa, and more. Great stuff.

October 9, 2016 - Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern): slightly meaty with floral top notes, earthy, cherry & cranberry…juicy acidity, berry fruit, slight spice, medium plus length…okay

July 23, 2015 - Similar to the Estate Pinot Noir, but tighter, more restrained. Nose has a perfume of violet, blackberry, and liquorice over notes of pencil lead and thyme. Palate is light-bodied, but with hard acidity and strong tannin: bitter, but not harsh. Flavours of pencil shavings, blackcurrant, charred rhubarb, raspberry, dry leaves, and green herbs.

May 20, 2014 - Peter Bourne - Pinot Noir tasting (8 Danks street, Sydney): Medium minus intensity aromas of red berries - currants over strawberries, spice, toast, cream, slight vanilla - aromas I associate with good oak treatment. In the mouth the wine has medium plus acidity and medium plus intensity flavours of red berries, slight spice with fine mid palate tannic grip. The fruit carries on the long finish. Nice, well balanced.
