June 24, 2022 - Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner (Château de Meursault): Small glass. They say there are no great wines, just great bottles. This exceeded any possible expectation and was absolutely fresh, layered, complex and fantastic.

May 14, 2018 - THIS is why we do it! Two for two with this one, last bottle in 2014 was a winner as well. This one is even kicking it up another notch. Rich wine here, with tons of well integrated wood spice and sulphur match strike reduction...golden yellow pitted fruits, green apple sautéed in butter, nice lemon citrus streak. Creamy with exotic honey and creme brûlée custard...layered, yet energized with the fresh acidity and crushed rocks ...white flower and honeysuckle, as well as that beautiful spice, intoxicate. Finish is long and persistent...couldn't ask for anything more from this wonderful bottle!

4/1/2009 (link)(Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles) A much deeper colour than the 93 bourgogne. The colour made me rush to smell - but no problems with oxidation here, only caramelised butter and hints of citrus for freshness - it was actually very nice. In the mouth it definitely needed time to unwind and I’m sure it never fully did, but the texture and impression is of density coupled to long, lingering flavours. Not much complexity today or even excitement come to that, despite all, it still made a strong impression around our table.
