    August 17, 2019 - Ok on day one but better on day 2. Full body with sharp edges on day one. Day two fruit was more balanced softer and smoother. Rate 88 day one and 90 on day 2 with 89 overall. Suggest long decant.

    April 3, 2019 - Medium purplish ruby in color. Aromas of earthy funk, soil, blue and black fruits, violets, vanilla, and chalk or crushed rocks. Light to medium body, medium acid and finish, a bit of alcohol spike (I'm surprised this is only 14.5% according to the label), and flavors of blue and black fruits, notable minerality, and yeah, alcohol, which is a bit detracting here. This worked well with our stacked slow cooker enchiladas, but its flaws are showing through a bit more post meal.

    July 29, 2017 - By far the best of a half case. Just lovely tonight. Still has generous fruit and nice minerality, but the integration and polish has gone way up. Drinking beautifully now and an outstanding value at this age.

    April 18, 2017 - inky purple, full body, mild aroma of funk fading to cassis and blackberry, taste of dark fruit with a touch of sweet in the middle, oak, and rocky earth, superb minerality with chassis on the medium long finish. Wow! - has this aged into a qpr beyond belief.

    October 2, 2016 - See previous note dated 7.28.14. In the interim, the tannins have mellowed, and the blend has an even better balance than before. This wine is like a silk robe with velvet slippers. Wish I'd gotten a case of this vintage, but grateful to have one more bottle on the rack.

    November 24, 2015 - inky purple, full body, mild aromas of funk, tastes of dark muted fruit, oak, and rocky earth, superb minerality on the finish; 87 day 1; 90 day 4; decant for several hours and serve with food

    October 1, 2015 - A nose of dark fruits and spices, dark black purple in color. A medium to full bodied red blend, with blackberry, blueberry, licorice, with vanilla spiced finish. A very good wine and great QPR. www.winelx.com
