December 7, 2021 - Needs a good decant or several hours (or a day)to open up then its velvety dark deliciousness

October 14, 2021 - Lost and found in the cellar. Primary fruit was gone with hints of blackberry somewhat present. Smooth and enjoyable wine for its age. Tannins fading but still good structure with secondary notes of cedar and herbs present. Good education for someone who likes mature wine.

June 18, 2017 - Love Arns and, of course, Sandy. Absolutely delicious.

November 1, 2014 - Still relatively youthful, almost entirely primary fruit, dark, purple wine, albeit yes, the tannins are not talking much. Years to go. Remarkable the degree of variation in how the 2002 Napa cabs have endured, benefited, or faded over a dozen years.

March 20, 2014 - Two years ago I served Arns at a party and was pleased. It was a good wine at a good price point. Unfortunately thereafter I bought eight bottles from 2002 and '03. I've opened one from each vintage to sheer disappointment. Serious level of alcohol on the nose that never quite fades. After an hour of decanting the wine is bearable though barely pleasurable. After nearly two hours it's gone from over bearing to dead. Perhaps I simply got a bad lot from Aker -- but proceed with caution.
