May 23, 2022 - Inky and a tad reductive due to the vintage, big and deep. A poster wine for Parkerization (or what you had to do to win 100 points). I enjoyed this but it reminded me why I quit buying QC during those years.

May 7, 2022 - I waited a long, long time to drink this wine. Almost 20 years. It still had the 89.99 Thriftway sticker on it, from when TJR convinced me to pony up a benjamin ... for this up & coming winery's 100pt wine.
Fast forward to this day - the celebration of TJR's 50th. Opened for dinner with sous vide steak (thanks K!) and other fine accoutrements.
    Cheers my friends!

February 25, 2022 - Opaque red with the slightest fading at the edges. Black cherries and chocolate on the nose. Complexly layered fruit on the palate. Black cherry, blackberry, bitter chocolate, tobacco. Plums on the mid-palate. Sweet cherry fruit develops with air. Sweet tannins, beautiful acidity, great balance. Finishes long and elegant with dark chocolate and cherry. Gorgeous, elegant wine. Drink over the next 10 to 15 years. May continue to develop for another 5 years before peak.

January 21, 2022 - Bottle breathe for 6 hours, and decant for another 1 hour before serving. Smooth and elegant palate, with very nice cherry, cigar, tar, smoke and wood. Fully matured and perhaps best time to enjoy. Long finishing. I would have thought this is a Bordeaux left bank.

January 18, 2022 - May have screwed the pooch on this one. Drank a bottle maybe 15 years ago and was overwhelmed by the fresh red and blue fruit. Delicious and perhaps too much. The fruit is now gone, wish it still had more, but paired well with filet. Has been stored at 57 degrees, but think I waited too long.
