March 15, 2020 - Immediately upon opening, this was way more initially impressive than prior bottles, loads of cassis and dark cherry, very pure. Palate is full bodied, good acidity medium tannins. Not hugely complex however. Unfortunately the initial impact did not last through the first half of the bottle, got a little "hot" and disjointed. Still very good, but the first couple of whiffs promised so much more.....glad I opened this now. one more left. Will look forward to that (and to the rest of the bottle tomorrow), not sure about the value however.

May 28, 2019 - Very nice. Fine tannins. Double decanted and drunk over an out. Fruit is receding but structure is good. Nice finish. Probably last at least five more years but not sure it will improve more so would drink up

April 18, 2019 - Purple fruit (plum, boysenberry, blackberry) and oak on the palate, which adds a chocolate note. Tannins are surprisingly more resolved than in a bottle from a year ago, though still noticeable. Big/dense/extracted and while not my stylistic preference, certainly well made.

Recommend a hold, but drinkable with a long decant.

Two bottles of this wine were opened. Bottle #1 had a touch of TCA. Not terrible, but fairly muted on the nose and palate. Note reflects bottle #2 only.

March 4, 2019 - I have to agree with the other CT member who said this was flat. I was so disappointed that this did not show well at all. Its not vinegar but zero nose, aroma or taste. I tasted upon opening and after a few hours and there was no growth in this wine.

I have had this vintage before and found it outstanding but this was beyond its drinking life.
