October 9, 2014 - Would have never recognized this as a Weissburgunder in the 10€ range. Somewhat harsh and hard to drink, all in all disappointing...

July 16, 2014 - A decent, but not that impressive bottle. For whatever reasons, I expected more. Reasonably well balanced, but a little sharp in places and not as rich as I had hoped it would be.

Noting this, the wine did have what I have come to believe is a distinctive taste for Franconian wines. I spent a short week in Bamberg and drank various local, entry level wines. All were quite decent, and all tasted of the region. Perhaps this bottle needed some more time.
